Assalamualaikum and hello everybody,
I am Amira , and just call me mira. I am from Development Sciences course. In previous umbrella's posts, Aryma and Hashim had told and gave their opinion towards our topic which is about the introduction and the impact of Mat Rempit , right? So, i would not repeat the same point. But i am here is still to share about Mat Rempit ,however in different perspective that how to prevent this Mat Rempit ? Nowadays, Mat Rempit had become more wild? They had been charge towards many crimes. Honestly, i feel really sad because most of them are in the same ages like us. We are in universities, brighten our future life. But them? So sad. Guys, did you all know that government had spend a lot of money in order to prevent this Mat Rempit ? In fact, many NGO's also lend their hands and cooperate with the authorities so that no more or at least this social problem can be reduce. Hmmm (sigh). Before i leave, i have two questions to all of you. Do you think all the efforts from government and NGO's are already enough to be the precaution of Mat Rempit? Do other parties are needed and responsible to solve this? Response me, and we can share our opinion.
bye~

In my opinion, neither government nor NGO able to prevent this kind of illegal racing, what government or NGO can do is just reduce or cut down the amount of these cases.
As you said, most of them are almost same age with us as well. In another ways of saying, they are still teenagers. Teenagers used to be stubborn during these period and i do not think that any campaign or seminar able to change their mind and behaviour.
Sometimes we used to depend on government to solve this kind of social problems,in fact teenagers themselves should be decipline and stay away from this kind of illegal racing.Friends around them might influence them in certain ways but i believe that good decipline and attitude in ourselves can keep us away from illegal racing.
that's all..thankyou=)

You are right my friend. Everything that happen in our life now are all started from our own self. If we are tend to be a very immoral person, so no one can change us unless ourselves. However, authorities cannot just wait until we realised. They have to do something in order to reduced any problems. Or else, the issue such as this Mat Rempit will never be solved.

I think the government and NGO have done enough to control this kind of situation. But, unfortunately, the way their handle this matter is not quit proper. But, this situation can be solved if they do something like strengthen the rules more than before this. They also can charge a high fine to a person who involved in mat rempit’s activity.
